Luke Lally, a senior at Oak Lawn Community High School, won the Metra Poster Contest. Metra recently held a Safety Poster Contest as part of its ongoing efforts to increase public awareness and engage students to help further their understanding and practice of important railroad safety rules.
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade in northeastern Illinois were invited to submit a poster displaying railroad safety using this year's poster contest theme: "Safety Rules: Look, Listen and Live."
One first-, second- and third-place winner was selected from each grade and awarded prizes. Luke Lally won first place for grade 12 and was awarded a laptop computer. Congratulations, Luke.
